A Fabulous Drink of The 2009 Official Drink of Austin

It's here! The results are in! Yours truly was there to witness and vote on the 2009 Official Drink of Austin! First here's what (in my opinion) should have been the winner. The Redbud, by Paggi House’s Tori Tinnon combining Tito's Vodka with Pepper (from their garden!), Grenadine (don't let this ingredient scare you, there really is a use for grenadine, who knew?), orange, lime, grapefruit bitters. This drink is fabulous and was the runner up, again it should have been the winner and I was assured it will be in the menu.
Next up the winner ...
Enlightened Austin Martini, by La Condesa’s Elaine Garza and Carol Bond combining Tito's Vodka with
St. Germain Elderflower Liquer, watermelons, agave nectar, lime.  It was good and my second favorite.  Thank you to all and especially Austin Convention and Visitor's Bureau for hosting such a fabulous event.

  1. I agree. The Paggi House cocktail was easily the best. There's no accounting for taste.....

  2. I liked Paggi House best too! But I still like Fire in the Hole from Ranch 616, not too mention the Dirty Sanchez from Lambert's! MD

  3. La Condesa's drink was way better! Paggie House heated in the wrong part of the palate.
