A Fabulous Drink of Wine on Wednesdays for SXSW and Beyond

As a contributor to the fabulous Food Bloggers' Guide Austin for SXSW, I have another nugget for you.  As we roll into another SXSW season whether you need to "wine" down or "wine" up, I have found that Wednesdays are the perfect day for a little wine.  First, start at the Austin Wine Merchant at 5 p.m. for a tasting.  They pour some pretty fabulous varietals.  Next, head a few blocks west to Whole Foods Market for their wine and cheese sampling at the wine kiosk.  Lastly head to 24 Diner on the corner of 6th and Lamar as they added a new happy hour on Wednesdays only with half off wine.  I am in love with the Pinot Noir they pour by the glass as well as the Hanzel Chardonnay.  *This Wednesday only Eddie V's downtown is tasting Kelly Fleming Wines Wine, Wednesdays, Fabulous!
