A Fabulous Drink at the Warehouse District's Newest Downtown Hot Spot

I'm back with a full review I told you I would be.  M Two seems to be all the buzz as downtown's newest hot spot.  Located in the former Saba Blue Water Cafe spot on West 4th Street, M Two is the perfect start to a night out on the town, happy hour or end to an evening.  Here, the bar food is king as Chefs Clouser and Stouhal whose resumes include Uchi, Vespaio, etc are running the kitchen. A Fabulous Drink and the Two Martini Lunch

Alright, I did't actually have two martinis myself, but L had one and I had one, there the two martini lunch!  I am entering the world of Ladies Who Lunch.  Okay, not as glamorous as it seems, but a new work schedule is allowing me days off during the week.  First up was a spontaneous invite from my friend L, T I promise I have not forgotten about you!  We decided on Piranha Killer Sushi as they have a fabulous and affordable lunch menu.  We also decided a mid-day martini was in order.  I indulged in the pickle-infused Rabbi Martini, yes that is a pickle spear garnishing my glass.  L had the Sake Pear Martini.  The company, sushi quality, service and two martini lunch was fabulous!

A Fabulous Drink on Father's Day at Austin's Best Sunday Brunch

Happy Father's Day!  We didn't want the Dads to have to lift a finger today so we treated them to Father's Day brunch at downtown Austin's best new brunch.  Yeah, I know I already wrote about it here.  What can I say?  Tacos and Tequila is my new favorite place!  When Michael Hsu's fingerprint is present and Chef Alma Alcocer-Thomas is running the kitchen you can rest assured it's great!  Brunch is such a fabulous find at $17 with bottomless Champagne, mimosas and poinsettias or hibiscus as my sister-in-law likes to refer to them as and an abundant buffet with savory and sweet selections alike. Service is friendly, fast and flawless.  Go for lunch, brunch dinner and happy hour, it's fabulous!

Fabulous Drinks Austin Travels Part II Dallas

 Told you I have been on the go, this time to the Four Seasons Las Colinas a very beautiful, resort-like golf community suburb of Dallas for a visit to J. Black's for a snack and a peek at the games.  Even though we were resorting at the Four Seasons, we couldn't be in the Big D without a trip to my personal favorite Fearing's at the ever-fabulous Ritz-Carlton.  We brunched and the men ordered these fabulous Bloody Marys pictured.  Notice the fresh jalapeno with seeds intact as to not compromise the heat and the fragrant herbs garnishing the glass.  In the shot below notice the glass, but more importantly the scene in the background (not a hair out of place).  You're not in Austin anymore, no roll-out-of-bed rock 'n roll brunch here, dress in your Sunday best, trust me, it's worth it and it's fabulous!

Fabulous Drinks Austin Travels Part I Dallas

I've been on the go, but that doesn't mean I leave you behind without my fabulous finds, I'll just take you with me.  This is a series of my travels, first stop Dallas Texas, for the opening of the Austin original J. Black's.  They actually haven't had their grand opening yet, that happens next Wednesday, but technically the doors (and windows) are open.  The Dallas location is like a grown up, more sophisticated version of the Austin original with fabulous use of the outdoor space and an even more fabulous menu.  Here lunch is served Friday through Sunday and the night-time scene does not disappoint.  Go for the food, go to see and be scene, just go, it's fabulous!

Here you have it the Driskill won w/ their Batini made with Titos Vodka, hibiscus and ginger with a blackberry garnish, it was good, 

BUT my pick is The Carillon's Blood Orange Batini made with three local liquors, the black lava salt that Watkins is so famous for, toasted coriander and my new favorite beverage coconut water! Here's some pics

Honorable mention to the Marriott Courtyard, one for costumes and secondly for the bar snacks, I am a big fan of the bar snacks;)
